Terminal 2, 1980, Lisbon

Design of fittings and furniture systems.
Interior Design of vip lounges and restaurants.
Graphic signage.

In this project for the construction of a new Terminal at Portela Airport, in Lisbon, the team coordinated by Maurício de Vasconcelos imposed a sense of strict rationality at all stages of the process. The fittings and furniture were designed and developed together, as an integrated industrial design project. From the more repetitive pieces (check-in desks, waiting seats) to the more unique situations (vip lounges, Meeting Point signage), everything was programmed and rigorously designed according to the concept I was not built, a considerable number of the solutions were reused in the new Porto Airport project, developed by the same team. The check-in counter would be produced in series by Metalúrgica da Longra and installed in the various Portuguese airport terminals.

Final design not executed.
