Daciano da Costa (1930–2005) is one of the most prominent figures in Portuguese design. Since 1954, he developed multiple facets of his work as a designer, was a pioneer of industrial design in Portugal, and created projects for numerous sectors of the national industry.

Originally designed in the 1970s by Daciano da Costa and first produced in marble, the Cork set is now reissued in cork, a lightweight, durable, and 100% Portuguese material.
