Architecture . Architecture of Interiors, Design for Context

Crowne Plaza Resort Madeira, 1998, Funchal

Interior arquitecture and public areas - lobby, reception, seating areas, conference rooms; bars and restaurants; indoor swimming pools.

Interior architecture and furniture - rooms and suítes.

The Interior Architecture project was developed in harmony with the general design of the architecture, seeking to establish contrasts of materials, colours, textures and finishes in the details that would accentuate the spatial solutions and enrich the characterization of the environments.

The specially designed furniture was based on the assumption that the management strategy adopted for a Resort, and the profile of guests who would frequent it, justified a playful and irreverent approach, less conformist than that which usually conditions a conventional city hotel.
