In this article from the newspaper DNA, we are introduced to Daciano da Costa, one of the most influential figures in Portuguese design. He began in painting but chose design for its greater impact on daily life. His work includes iconic interiors like those of the Gulbenkian Foundation and Aula Magna.

He advocated for a culturally rooted design, close to people and everyday life. For him, design was a form of citizenship focused on function, use, and human sensitivity, far from elitism or mere decoration.
