Why is everyone looking to Portugal when talking about design, MANERA, by ENRIC PASTOR, 9 June 2026
OSAKA CHAIR X ATELIER DACIANO DA COSTA
Few reissues feel as timely as António Garcia’s Osaka Chair. Originally designed in 1969 for the Portuguese Pavilion at Expo Osaka, the piece has recently joined the permanent collection of the Vitra Design Museum and is now returning to the market through Atelier Daciano da Costa. Lightweight, precise, and remarkably contemporary, it continues to prove that true design icons never age. Particularly appealing is the new brown leather version, where the warmth of the material further enhances the chair’s understated elegance.
