The Osaka chair by António Garcia, an icon of Portuguese design, is returning to the market.
The Osaka chair, one of the best-known and most successful works by António Garcia, a pioneer of Portuguese design, will be reissued and available for sale. The official announcement was made this Thursday at the Design Museum (MUDE) in Lisbon, which already holds António Garcia's collection and will have the piece for sale in its future design store. The reissue is the responsibility of Atelier Daciano da Costa and is part of a "reunion of families" of these friends and colleagues from the 20th-century national design scene, explains Inês Cottinelli, who directs the atelier named after her father, to PÚBLICO.
