Portuguese Design: Osaka 1970 Traveled Through Time and Arrived at MUDE 2025
By Joana Amaral Cardoso, Público, June 24, 2025
In this article, Joana Amaral Cardoso takes us through the exhibition “Osaka. 55 Years Later. Designing the Future,”which revisits the memory of the Portugal Pavilion at Expo ’70 in Osaka, conceived by Frederico George, Daciano da Costa, and António Garcia.
The exhibition is the result of a collaboration between MUDE and the Atelier Daciano da Costa, as part of the Osaka in Lisbon initiative, organized by the Lisbon City Council.
Many thanks to Público for giving visibility to this tribute — so meaningful for Portuguese design.
