The National Library of Portugal marks 50 years with an unprecedented exhibition curated by the architects João Pardal Monteiro and João Paulo Martins. The exhibition marks the move of the National Library of the Convent of S. Francisco to the new building in Campo Grande, in 1969. Reconstituting the contrast of environments through original pieces, some shown to the public for the first time, the exhibition focuses mainly on the processes of interior architecture and furniture, through design drawings, photographs, reports by the then director of the Library documenting the works, among many other materials.
