Exhibition “Osaka – 55 Years Later, Designing the Future”, Portugal Expo 2025, 23 May 2025

Fifty-five years ago, Portugal participated in the 1970 Osaka World Expo under the theme Progress and Harmony for Mankind, with a pavilion designed by Frederico George, in close collaboration with Daciano da Costa and António Garcia. In 2025, MUDE – Museum of Design and Fashion revisits that moment through two distinct phases.

The first phase, developed in partnership with Atelier Daciano da Costa, opens on June 5 and showcases the project and construction of the Portugal Pavilion at Expo Osaka 1970, as well as a selection of pieces designed by António Garciaand Daciano da Costa for its interior, alongside original documentation of the entire process.
